July Chapter Meeting

Please join us for the July meeting of the Central California Coast Chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology.

When: Thursday, July 30th, 6:30 – 9:00 pm
Networking begins at 6:30 pm. The business meeting will start at 7:00 pm with dinner at 7:30 pm. The program starts at 8:00 pm.

Please RSVP by July 27th; dinner will be a selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods, priced around $15-$20 per person.

Program: “Management by Science - Public Understanding of the Role Science Plays in Land Management”. Our featured dinner speaker will be Patrick Congdon, General Manager of the Santa Clara County Open Space Authority. The OSA manages open space in Santa Clara County for habitat protection, recreation, and other purposes. Patrick will speak to us about how the OSA uses science to guide its management decisions.
